University Methodist is partnering with JUC to offer an 11-day field study to Patmos and Türkiye, May 18-28, 2027.  This Revelation Field Study will explore the Seven Cities of the Apocalypse, walk where John received his vision, visit the seven cities of Revelation, and read on-site the messages of Christ to the churches that reside there.  The JUC field study schedule for this trip is available.

Cost for the trip is $3,995 double occupancy room plus airfare and airport transfers (single room + $1,000).  The price includes accommodations, meals (except 2 lunches), transportation during the trip, course materials and gratuities.  Pre- or post-travel will be at your own expense.  The trip is limited to 32 people including one of our clergy.

The field study leader, Dr. Chris Vlachos, will provide an overview of the trip, pre-trip lectures, and other components of the trip.  We will also have a local guide on the trip.  

Dr. Vlachos earned an M.A. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Ph.D. at Wheaton College under the supervision of Douglas J Moo.  He went on to teach at Wheaton College for 17 years where he also served for many years as the director of the Wheaton in the Holy Lands program and later helped to launch, in partnership with JUC, Wheaton College's new Semester in Jerusalem program.  Dr. Vlachos has been teaching in-residence at JUC since 2021. He and his wife Patty live on the south side of Chicago and are the parents of three children and grandparents of six grandchildren.

A $500 per person deposit is due to University Methodist by December 15 and is fully refundable until then.  Registration will close on December 15.  Balance and final payment to JUC will be due by January 28, 2027.  (After your registration via University, more information will follow about setting up a portal with JUC for your registration and completion of the trip.)
