Senior Adult | Seguin Day Trip

All ages are invited to join our senior adults as we travel to Seguin. Our first stop will be the Sebastopol Historic site.  This is a Greek Revival mansion built in 1856 by skilled slaves.  It is one of the finest surviving 19th century limecrete buildings in America.  We will have a guided tour of the mansion to learn about its unique construction and the Wilson Pottery that is on display.  Lunch will be at the Power Plant Restaurant located on the River.  After lunch, we will tour the Heritage Museum with displays of the multi-ethnic heritage and contributions throughout the centuries.  This museum also includes a collection of Native American artifacts and photographic records of days gone by.  The trip would not be complete without seeing the world’s largest pecan and the Juan Seguin grave.  Cost includes transportation, lunch, admission fees, and tips.  (Day trips require a minimum of 25 participants and fees are non-refundable.)   Registration and payment close on June 9.
