Senior Adult | Lockhart Day Trip

Lockhart, THE Barbeque Capital of Texas---July 9

Join the Sr. Adults’ Ministry on a day trip to Lockhart on Wednesday, July 9, from 8a-5p

Lockhart is proclaimed to be the “Barbecue Capital of Texas.”  Let’s go see and taste for ourselves—at Black’s Barbecue!  While in Lockhart, we will “spend some time” at the Southwest Museum of Clocks & Watches, which includes the original clock tower from the Caldwell County Courthouse.  We’ll also visit the Caldwell County Museum, aka Jail Museum, that has various Texas artifacts and functioned as a jail from 1908 to 1983.  Before heading home, we’ll "check out" the beautiful Dr. Eugene Clark Library, which was the first library built in Texas and oldest continuously operated library in Texas.  We look forward to you, your family, and your friends joining us!  Please register online, soon, as registration closes on Sunday, July 6.   If preferred, registration and payment can be made in the church office on or before Sunday, July 6.

(Cost is $50 and includes transportation, lunch, admission fees, and tips; day trips require a minimum of 25 participants and the cost is non-refundable.
If they haven't done so since January 2025, we will be asking for an updated medical form/liability waiver.)
